On Sunday, May 31, 2026, the construction site of the Sint-Franciscus Hospital in Heusden-Zolder will open its doors to the general public during Open Construction Site Day, Embuild's annual initiative in which construction sites throughout Flanders and Brussels are made exceptionally accessible. STRABAG Belgium is working on this project in temporary partnership with Bouwbedrijf Keulen H.

A unique look behind the scenes

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the construction project up close and gain insight into the creation of a new, modern hospital wing. This state-of-the-art expansion will include space for:

During the approximately 35-minute tour, visitors are accompanied by employees of the hospital and colleagues from both construction partners. They will explain the works carried out, the techniques applied and the innovations that contribute to a future-oriented healthcare infrastructure.
