GRL Beringen

The temporary joint venture Strabag - Keulen H. - GRL  carried out a new-build project for GRL (Glass Recycling & Logistics) at their site in Beringen.

The assignment consisted of structural works, including the construction of a new glass recycling plant, the creation of concrete lodges with a steel canopy structure, foundation works for a production building, structural works for an office building, and infrastructure works.

Sustainable

A conscious decision was made, in mutual consultation with the building owner, to implement a fully circular steel structure for the three buildings. This resulted in a CO₂ reduction of no less than 86.3%.

The basic contract was completed in September 2024. The temporary joint venture received an additional contract, which was delivered in May 2025. This additional assignment included technical installations for the lodges and production hall, technical works and finishing of the office building, as well as several minor works.
