Refuga
STRABAG Belgium, together with Construction Company Dethier, partnered on Vestio and Kolmont’s Refuga development project.
The former Herkenrode Barracks site in the heart of Hasselt has been transformed into Refuga, a vibrant new residential development.
The assignment for the temporary joint venture STRABAG–Dethier included demolition works, structural construction and the turnkey delivery of 141 residential units, an underground car park, a tunnel, a cascade building for the university and the landscaping of a public courtyard garden spanning more than 4,000 m².
