WOL-U

STRABAG Belgium has been entrusted with the delivery of WOL-U, an ambitious residential development in Zaventem, conceived by ION develop different.

The new complex will be built on the site of obsolete office buildings with an existing underground car park, which will be retained and renovated, while the office structures are demolished.

The residential development will comprise seven buildings with a total of 199 apartments, underground parking, and extensive landscaped outdoor areas. The project will be delivered in two phases: Phase 1 includes the structural works for buildings E, F, and G, basement parking for all seven buildings, full finishing of E/F/G, and exterior landscaping for Phase 1. Phase 2 covers the structural works for buildings A, B, C, and D, their finishes, and landscaping for Phase 2.

Sustainability is at the heart of the project, with geothermal energy, rainwater harvesting, and solar panels ensuring a fossil-free site. A car-free layout and the integration of several internal gardens will create a pleasant living environment that encourages social interaction. Located in the Woluwe valley, just a stone’s throw from Brussels, the complex offers excellent accessibility and proximity to numerous amenities.
